HTC's Shift, Advantage, and Vogue

It's pretty rare for me to get so interested in three products from one company, but right now I am bordering on obsessed with these three. In case you are not familiar with them, there has been a lot of coverage all over, but here is why you want to stay on top of these devices:
  • Vogue- It's a CDMA version of HTC's hot new Touch phone. It should be out relatively soon (this year some time) and should be one of the better CDMA phones of the year. That is not saying much, but it's looking good just the same.
  • Shift- This is HTC's take on the UMPC. There is 7" screen, it runs Vista, it looks awesome. Might be the slickest UMPC ever, at least until Fujitsu's arrives.
  • Advantage- This is the one everyone has been talking about. It looks like a UMPC, but it's a Windows Mobile 6 smartphone. It has a 5" LCD and weighs about a pound, so it's not really practical as a phone, but it's still too cool. It has a detachable magnetic keyboard that is one of the coolest design features ever on a mobile device. It's expensive and I am not sure how practical it is, but it looks sweet.
They all look great, but each is expensive and I have my doubts about how practical the Shift/Advantage are. Hopefully I can get my hands on them soon and test them thoroughly. It is really interesting to see the growth of these in-between devices as the mobile market expands. Devices like the Advantage and Nokia's N800 (yes, the Iphone too) are really the most exciting thing happening in mobile computing right now.
