Here they are, what all the excitement has been about. The Ten Things We Love/Hate About Apple. All told, they are not great. They are clearly linkbait that the authors knew would be good for some big links, probably Slashdot, definitely a Digg, and a few others. This are web-only articles so the inflammatory headlines are meant to turn some heads and bring in some reader... mission accomplished. The best entry for either was #6 on Love- they love the fake Steve Jobs. And how could you not? I guess I am just surprised that the people at PC World know about the site (it's clearly bigger than I thought) or would even bother to post about it.  As for the rest of the love/hate entries, no big surprises. The background is much more interesting than the actual articles. I have been remiss for not commenting on it soon, but enough people were writing about it that I didn't feel like weighing in anyway. It's too bad to see a great editor leave a publication, especially under circumstances as bad as these.
